When I was a kid, comic books saved me from my life. I spent much of my time drawing, so I was immediately interested in the art of comics. The dark lines and textures, the bled-through colors and character designs were fascinating. Meanwhile, the story felt so adult. There were always more stories to read, more characters to meet, and more places to disappear into. Comics quickly became my favorite place to be.
Today, my work explores themes of loss, responsibility, and impermanence through imagination and whimsy.

It was never my intention to create an entire comic book. Sure, I wrote the story, created the cover illustration, and did all the graphics and lettering – but I was hoping to find a sequential illustrator for the interiors. For a variety of reasons, that did not happen and so, at least to create these proof-of-concepts, I also illustrated the interiors. Below are issues 1 and 2 (of 3) of Alice and the Moons.
